The Plateau Disaster Mitigation and Emergency Management Research Center is a cooperative academic platform for the research on plateau disaster mitigation and emergency management on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and even globally. It is dedicated to conducting research on plateau natural disasters, emergency technologies, risk management, etc., and providing technological support and talents guarantee to improve the capability of natural disaster prevention and control and the prevention level of integrated disaster risks in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region.

　　The Qilian Mountain National Park Research Center（Qinghai） focuses on the construction of a natural ecological monitoring network system, cultural history research, comprehensive assessment of resources and ecological health, dynamic assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem functions, and ecological compensation standard system, etc., providing scientific basis, technical support and decision-making support for the construction of ecological civilization in Qilian Mountain National Park.

　　The Silk Road Cross-Cultural Research Center is a significant measure to implement President Xi Jinping's grand strategic layout of building a community with a shared future for mankind. Combining the historical and cultural heritages of the Western Silk Road with the contemporary ideas of cross-cultural research, it takes steps to build pluralistic dialogues and multilateral win-win development in the process of establishing China’s critical position in the pattern of world modernization.
